Dimmer With Touch Switch Without Arduino or any Microcontroller

This circuit is a Dimmer With Touch Switch Without Arduino or any Microcontroller.
I just using two ICs (LM324 and CA3130).  The output is PWM signal and its duty cycle can be adjusted by two touch pads from 0% to 100%.
Interesting thing in this circuit that the duty cycle remain the same even after turns OFF and ON the supply voltage.

Photocell dark switch with 2 wires

This circuit is a 110/220V AC Photocell switch (Dark activated switch) with 2 wires, it turns ON the lamps at the night and turns them OFF at the day time automatically.
The standby state power consumption in this circuit is very low, about 0.05W only,
But the commercial photocell consume about 1.6W in the standby state. (32 times more)
The circuit working with both 110V & 220V AC and the Max. load can be 4A (LED, CFL & incandescent lamps).

You can download the Gerber file of this PCB from here:

220V AC Photocell switch (Dark switch)
Parts list:
IC 4093
SCR C106M
Bridge diode 8A
Resistor 30K
Resistor 1M
LDR
Zener diode 10V

Circuit:
If your lamp flickering you can add a 100nF ceramic capacitor between pin 7 and pin 14 of the IC, but don't use electrolytic capacitor because it has high leakage current.
The IC used in this circuit is a micro power IC with schmitt trigger ,
You can't use other NAND or NOT gate IC because they aren't Micro power.
The SCR also should be high sensitive gate SCR (C106M).
The sensitivity of the circuit can be adjusted by changing the 30K resistor to other value.
This circuit deals with mains voltage so it can be dangerous.

Dual Axis solar tracker without microcontroller

This circuit is a Dual Axis solar tracker without Arduino or any other microcontroller, using single IC LM324,
By using Transistors BD139 and BD140 we can drive two motors with max. current 3A (for X-Axis and Y-Axis).

Dual Axis solar tracker without microcontroller

Parts list:
IC1=LM324
LDR (4pcs)
P1 & P3=Potentiometer 20K (2pcs)
P2 & P4=Potentiometer 200K (2pcs)
R1 & R2 & R11 &R12=Resistor 10 ohm (4pcs)
R3 & R5 & R7 & R10=Resistor 20K (4pcs)
R4 & R6 & R8 & R9=Resistor 33K (4pcs)
C1 & C3=Capacitor 220uF (2pcs)
C2=Capacitor 100nF (2pcs)
T1 & T2 & T7 &T8=Transistor BD139(4pcs)
T3 & T4 & T5 & T6=Transistor BD140(4pcs)
D1 to D9=Diode 1N4007(9pcs)
Switch
DC Motor with gearbox (2pcs)

Circuit:
To make dual axis solar tracker we have to make two identical circuit from this diagram:
Dual Axis solar tracker without microcontroller

Dual Axis solar tracker without microcontroller

Since we need two op-amps for each axis, so i used IC LM324 which has 4 op-amps inside (for dual axis).
The diode through positive side of the battery used for reverse battery protection.
Two 20K resistors in series with LDRs used to decreasing LDRs current drawing, because they connected between VCC and GND as light sensor (voltage divider) and when exposed to direct sun the resistance of each LDR become around 300 ohm so the standby current drawing will be 9V/600 which is 15mA for each axis and 30mA for dual axis, but we can simply decreasing this current to only 440uA by using limiting current resistors without affecting the circuit performance.

Power saving relay driver

Relay coil after switch ON needs to voltage much lower than its nominal voltage,
We can use this property of relay to saving 85% of the power to increase the battery life in battery powered circuits.
To reduce the current / power consumption we can put a resistor through the relay coil, but since this low current not enough to running the relay at the beginning so we should short out the resistor for 1 second, then the relay switch keep going.

You have to use this formula to calculate the suitable resistor value:

Electronic load using Op-Amp IC 358
In this circuit i using IC 358 and some few components to make a simple constant load.
The trick here is connecting a dc voltmeter to the non-inverting input of the op-amp to preset the current before connect it to the battery or the super cap. under test.
