DIY Full Array Local Dimming Backlight

This is a modification to convert an LED LCD TV to Full Array Local Dimming Backlight.

1W COB LED (98pcs)

LDR (98pcs)

MOSFET SI2300 or SI2306 (98pcs)

Resistor 4.7K (98pcs)

Resistor 1ohm (98pcs)

 

Circuit:

Repeat the same circuit 98 times

NOTE-1: It is OK to use hot glue, because melting point of hot glue is 100C, These LEDs got only 32C when i leaved them running for a while (not even close to 100C), For higher power LEDs different story ! 

NOTE-2: Cheapest OLED TV in my country when i shared this video was $443, I bought this TV for $66 only and modification is so cheap if you buy the components from Aliexpress. 

NOTE-3: I didn't used multiplexing for LEDs because multiplexing needs Microcontroller, this is why i wired every single LED separately. 

NOTE-4: I said in the video "They Invented", because this method already used in some luxury TVs but they are so expensive, so this is a cheap hack !
